How to Clean School Uniforms
There’s nothing like the feeling of seeing your children dressed in crisp, clean school uniforms. Taking proper care of your students’ uniforms can ensure they go to school looking and feeling fresh and clean.
Because students wear uniforms daily, it’s important to have a consistent cleaning routine for these unique garments. Additionally, the specialized colors of your students’ uniforms make it especially crucial that you use a laundry detergent that can fight stains, deliver a deep clean, and help protect the garment’s fibers.
If you’re wondering how to clean school uniforms, follow these 6 simple steps.
- Read the care instructions on each of the uniform garments.
- Choose the lowest water temperature outlined in the care instructions for your wash cycle.
- Add a stain and odor fighting laundry detergent. We recommend Persil® Original liquid detergent or Discs™, Persil® Stain Fighter liquid detergent or Discs™, or Persil® Odor Fighter liquid detergent. Any of these detergents will deliver a deep clean for your laundry and leave your students’ uniforms smelling fresh and looking clean.
- Tumble dry on low heat. This will help prevent shrinking from occurring, especially if uniforms are made out of cotton.
